Pats will work out "Darren Sharper, one of the most hardest hittin' safteys in the leauge"

The Patriots will work out saftey Darren Sharper on Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed Sunday night

The 35-year old Sharper is a five-time Pro Bowl selection who has split his 14-year career between the Packers, Vikings, and Saints. Limited by a knee injury last season, Sharper played in eight games for the Saints, recording 16 tackles.

Following the release of Brandon McGowan and Ross Ventrone last week, and with veteran James Sanders missing the last several practices, the Patriots are somewhat thin at safety. Brandon Meriweather, Patrick Chung, and Sanders top the depth chart, with special teams-focused players Sergio Brown and Bret Lockett also in the mix

p.s- Darren Sharper and Ochocinco old beef.
