There are many questions about Steve Jobs life after he passed. One of them is...How did this man get away without ever having a license plate?
It was common knowledge that Jobs would park his Mercedes SL55 AMG in a handicapped spot at Apple's Cupertino, Calif., headquarters, without anything to identify his vehicle other than the tiny barcode that usually is behind the rear license plate.
When biographer Walter Issacson interviewed Jobs this is what he had to say about it, "Why don't you have a license plate?" He said, "Well, I don't want people following me." I said, "Well not having a license plate is probably more noticeable." He said, "Yah, you're probably right. You know why I don't have a license plate?" I said, "Why?" He said, "Because I don't have a license plate."
People would just be accustomed to seeing Jobs benz around without a license plate and just assumed he knew someone in the police department so it wouldn't be a problem but that wasn't the case....California law states that you don't need a license plate the first 6 months when you purchase a new car so Jobs just set it up with his car dealership so every 6 months he got a different identical bezo.
RIP Steve Jobs
